MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS This year, two students with Alberta connections received CEMF scholarships, which were presented late last month in conjunction with the Engineers Canada Annual General Meeting in Quebec City. Shown above, holding framed certificates acknowledging their scholarships, are, at left, Deanna Burgart, a third-year chemical engineering student at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, and Emily Marasco, a second-year computer engineering student at the University of Calgary. Ms. Burgart, formerly of Calgary, has been named the winner of the 2008 AMEC Aboriginal Undergraduate Scholarship, worth $5,000. Ms. Marasco won one of two 2008 IBM Canada Undergraduate Scholarships. It is worth $2,500 and also includes summer employment at an IBM facility in Canada.
