Emerald Nominations Needed Now
The Alberta Emerald Foundation invites nominations for the 15th annual Emerald Awards, which recognize outstanding environmental achievements by businesses, individuals, organizations and community groups to protect, preserve, enhance and sustain our environment.
Nomination forms for the 2006 Emerald Awards to recognize these individuals and groups — which many times come from the ranks of APEGGA — are now available from the Alberta Emerald Foundation.
Nominations can be made in categories such as small or large business, research and innovation, education, youth, climate change, corporate or institutional leadership, individual commitment, not-for-profit association or community group and government institutions. Full criteria appear online.
Nominations close Feb. 28. Finalists will be announced in May and the celebration will take place on Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at the Winspear Centre in Edmonton.
