APEGGA ELECTION PROCESS

APEGGA election process

HOW A PROFESSIONAL MEMBER CAN RUN FOR COUNCIL:

The Nominating Committee submits a list of nominees to the Chief Executive Officer, usually by mid-November.  This list is posted on the APEGGA website (refer to pdf documents below), and published in both the e-PEG and the December issue of the PEG magazine.

The form entitled NOMINATION FOR ELECTION TO COUNCIL is also posted on the website at this time (refer to pdf documents below), as well as being published in the e-PEG and PEG magazine.  Being date specific, this form is only available from mid-November until the submission deadline.

Any professional member (Professional Engineer, Professional Geoscientist, or Professional Licensee) wishing to run for the position of Councillor must submit a form declaring their intention to run and commitment to serve.  This form must be signed by ten professional members in good standing (a suggested version of the form is available on the website).    Nomination forms must reach the Chief Executive Officer no later than 90 days prior to the Annual General Meeting.

Please note: only those who already have one year of experience on Council are eligible to run for the position of President-Elect/Vice President.

For the 2012 Election a completed Nomination for Election to Council form must be received by the Chief Executive Officer by Sunday, January 22, 2012.

Results of the election are announced at the Annual General Meeting, Saturday, April 21, 2012.
