APEGA encourages students at all levels to pursue careers in its professions. One way of providing this encouragement is by giving awards directly to the students as well as to teachers and prospective teachers at the elementary and secondary level who are firing the imagination of their students in math and physical sciences.
Each year, APEGA and its members seek to recognize excellence in the practices of engineering and/or geoscience and the contributions APEGA members make to the community. The Summit Awards® Gala is APEGA’s major annual event, held in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting.

The Summit Awards® is APEGA’s major recognition program for our members and our professions. In this section you will find information on each of the awards and nomination forms.
Service awards recognize members for their outstanding accomplishments. The awards honour those retiring from positions on council, the branches, boards and committees. Awards are presented to Life Members of APEGA and to the University Student Society Presidents.
The APEGA Education Foundation serves the professions of engineering and/or geoscience by assembling and managing funds, building endowments, encouraging voluntary donations, distributing funds for scholarships and awards and supporting special projects.
