Alberta Student Energy Conference
To be held on March 26, this conference is among the first of its kind to bring in local talent from across Alberta to learn and discuss the future of industry in Alberta. The key challenges that faced in the province will be explored from a business, geosciences and engineering perspective through interactive workshops and lectures. Sponsored by top energy companies such as Conoco Phillips and Cenovus, this conference brings together 100 students and over 125 industry professionals for a day of focus on key topics such as environmental regulation, energy sustainability, workforce demographic challenges and soft skills development.
ASEC will provide a platform for students to network with industry leaders and employers to continue developing as young professionals. The conference will include two major components: a day program in which students will get to chose from a series of interesting topics presented through interactive workshops and lectures, and an evening program, which will bring students and industry together for a formal networking dinner.
