Training certificate fraud
Counterfeit training certificates a growing concern
Enform training certificate fraud is a growing concern in the upstream oil and gas industry. Routine checks of training certificates at industry job sites have identified several versions of fraudulent temporary certificates:
Counterfeit temporary H2S Alive® certificates. These are often expired certificates that have had the date modified, a false instructor and class number, and a false certificate number (many of the counterfeit certificates have the same number), or they originally belonged to someone other than the bearer, but have the bearer’s name fraudulently typed.
Some certificates have been distributed by companies not authorized to deliver Enform training. The certificate has the name of the company and the name of the Enform course. There is no Enform logo on these certificates, but there should be.
