Calgary Engineer Mentors for
FIRST LEGO League Robotics Team
Do you want to inspire high school students to consider a career in engineering and help them to understand the work of engineers? The following opportunity is a fun and engaging way to work with students on a robotic project.
Students want engineer mentors to teach them about aspects of engineering and science that they will use to build their project. They will compete in January in the FIRST Robotics Competition.

Professional engineers are invited to mix and mingle with University of Calgary engineering students. These students are about to choose their professional discipline or enter their professional careers, and are looking to make professional contacts for internships. Students will talk with professionals about their areas of expertise, their career path, and why they chose their specific discipline.
Companies and technical societies are invited to set up a small complimentary booth detailing the specifics of their organization.
If you are interested in volunteering please call Becky Windley at 403-262-7714 or email bwindley@apega.ca. We look forward to hearing from you and appreciate your assistance.
Scientists & Engineers in the Classroom
Volunteers make a difference. Join today and share your passion for science by inspiring tomorrow's scientists, engineers and geoscientists.
There are five science networks around the province that offer the Scientists & Engineers in the Classroom program. Find out about the networks and how you can volunteer to deliver exciting science classroom presentations in Grades 1-12. Help students make the connection between careers and the science they learn in school.
Scientists & Engineers in the Classroom is a joint program of Alberta Science Literacy Association and APEGGA.
