Why Sustainable Buildings?
Alberta Chapter – Canada Green Building Council
The Alberta Chapter of the Canada Green Building Council will discuss why sustainable buildings are important and produce better quality environments both inside and out, last longer by being more durable and adaptable, cost less to run and are a benefit to the community. Klaas Rodenburg, Alberta Chapter Chair will review the benefits of sustainable buildings and specific integrated attributes of the Robbins Health Learning Center that contributed to LEED Silver certification. Tanya Doran, Executive Director, Alberta Chapter CaGBC explains the changes to the current LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) process and what will be required if you currently hold your LEED AP designation or it is a future consideration. After the presentation join us for a tour of the Robbins Health Learning Center showcasing the sustainable attributes.
