PERSPECTIVES ON LNG -
CONTINUING GROWTH IN AN EXPANDING OIL BUSINESS

DATE: Thursday, Oct. 13

TIME: Registration: 11:15 a.m., Luncheon: 11:45 a.m., Speaker: 12:15 p.m.

LOCATION: Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire, 255 Barclay Parade SW

COST: $35 Members and Guests, $17 Students

GUEST SPEAKER: Andrew Stephens, Vice-President, Corporate Planning and Communications, Petro-Canada

North America supplies of conventional natural gas are declining. While unconventional gas is helping to fill the void, additional sources of natural gas will be required to meet the growing demand. Gas from the North American Frontiers will be available over time, but liquefied natural gas (LNG) offers the opportunity to fill the growing gap.

LNG is an international commodity. Pricing will depend on international supply and demand, and supply and demand will be influenced by the costs of bringing new supplies to market.

In his presentation, Mr. Stephens will present an outlook for North American natural gas supply and demand, the opportunities and issues this outlook presents for LNG in a global context, and how Petro-Canada is positioning itself to create shareholder value through its LNG activities.
