OPENING CELEBRATION FOR ALEXANDER WAY

All APEGGA members are invited to join in the Opening Celebration for Alexander Way. Alexander Way (48th St.) is in the process of being recreated as a dynamic, pedestrian friendly corridor that will ultimately connect the City's park system to the downtown.

Join Mayor Morris Flewelling in a celebration featuring live music, street performers, buskers, vendors and Art Walk artists displaying their wares on the street and offering hands on demonstrations for the public. The Central Alberta Branch of APEGGA will be dedicating their Centennial Legacy Project, a beautiful piece of art commemorating 100 years of engineering and geoscience contributions to Alberta, as part of the celebrations.

The celebration kicks off at noon on Saturday, September 17, 2005 in the Millenium Centre parking lot on 48th St. with opening remarks from the Mayor at 12:45 p.m.

Please see the City of Red Deer's website for more details.
