The medical community has a preference for prevention as opposed to having to effect a cure. In a similar fashion, the purpose of the seminar is to raise awareness of effective prevention strategies that may be used during the design, construction, operation and abandonment of pipeline systems. The seminar describes pipeline integrity responses at three (3) levels (i.e. primary, secondary and tertiary); identifies potential hazards and population targets.
Possible prevention strategies for each pipeline hazard are then developed before being integrated into a proposed overall approach towards prevention. The end result of an effective prevention strategy is to increase safety, and provide environmentally-responsible and reliable service.
Pre-Registration and advance payments are required. Seating is limited and registrations will be dealt with on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please call the Calgary APEGGA office at 403-262-7714 or register online CLICK HERE. The Calgary Branch accepts Visa, MasterCard, or American Express.
