The presentation will examine the NAIT Fuel Cell project through the following topics, the objectives of the project, what is a fuel cell, the 200 kW phosphoric acid fuel cell, the barriers to the technologie and the future of fuel cell technology.
Denis Côté began his career as a Marine Engineer with Canadian Navy in 1977. In 1983 he transferred to the Canadian Air Force and worked as a Stationary Engineer in several locations throughout Canada and as an instructor of Stationary Engineering at the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering prior to retiring in 1996. He has been employed at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology for the past twelve years as an Instructor and Coordinator of Distance Education in Power Engineering. He has been the Coordinator for the Fuel Cell Project at NAIT, for the past three years, in conjunction with his other position. Denis has had a life long interest in alternative energy technologies and looks forward to future developments in Fuel Cell technology and NAIT’s role in these developments. |
