Last Chance for 2008 Donations

You have until Dec. 31 to make tax deductible donations to charitable organizations for the 2008 taxation year. The APEGGA Education Foundation would like you to consider its objectives when you’re making your choice. If your donation is over $200, 50 per cent is tax deductible.

Our professions are referred to as the invisible professions. So, we must continually promote them with students who are reviewing their career options.

The unstable economy, if it continues, will disadvantage many students whose families have been adversely affected. Scholarships and bursaries will be needed more than ever.

Your APEGGA Education Foundation has been positioning itself to serve these needs. The scholarship portfolio was completely revamped and $500,000 was endowed to each of the University of Alberta and the University of Calgary. This latter initiative was driven by the Alberta Government’s pledge to match these donations through the Access to the Future Fund.

Please don’t delay. Your donations will support students and the greatest professions in the world.
