LUNCHEON MEETING
Toxic Moulds & Bioaerosols
**Register by Feb. 28**
Date: Thursday,
March 3, 2005
Time: 11:15 a.m. Registration, 11:45 a.m. Luncheon, 12:15 p.m. Speaker
Location: The Carriage House Inn, 9030 Macleod Trail South
Cost: $30 Members/General Public, $15 Students
Guest Speaker: Susan Rowsell, M.Sc., HydroQual Laboratories Ltd.
Building managers, public health representatives, and health and safety experts
are expanding their knowledge and expertise in the areas of bioaerosols and microbiological
risk assessment. Increased efficiency (tighter buildings) and reduced maintenance
budgets have contributed to contaminated buildings, creating increased alarm
with building occupants. What is the cause of sick building syndrome or building
related illness? How is it diagnosed and measured? What can we do about it?
The field of bioaerosols is a growing area and with greater understanding
and expertise, professionals should be able to aid their clients in the assessment
and mitigation of microbial contamination in indoor environments.
To ensure adequate seating,
please pre-register with the Calgary APEGGA office at 262-7714 before Monday,
February 28. The Calgary Branch accepts Visa, MasterCard or American Express
for tickets sold prior to the day of the event.
