Funding for Business R&D — Important Role of Engineers In Scientific Research & Experimental Development (SR&ED)

The Scientific Research and Experimental Development program is Canada's single largest source of funding for business R&D performed in Canada. It also accompanied a fully refundable incentive available in the Province of Alberta, further reducing the after-tax cost of SR&ED performed in this province. The SR&ED program is complex, with both tax and science components contributing to its eligibility, the submission process and the calculation of the benefit. This session is designed to provide an overview of the program rules, and some guidance to engineers and (geo)scientists to familiarize them with not only how the submission process works, but also what they can do to expedite this process and improve the documentation supporting SR&ED claim.

Pre-Registration and advance payments are required. Seating is limited and registrations will be dealt with on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Register online or contact the Calgary APEGGA Office (403)262-7714 noting any dietary restrictions. The Calgary Branch accepts Visa, MasterCard, or American Express.
