APEGGA Science Olympics – Peace Country

Volunteers are needed to help plan the March 24, 2012 Science Olympics. Event managers will help to prepare one work-at-home event and two mystery events for both junior and senior high school students. Please help to ensure the success of this event and lend your help.

Science Olympics is a half-day interactive, FUN, science competition for students in Grades 7-12 to see first-hand how science affects our everyday lives. They are given a series of applications or problem-solving challenges that demonstrate the fun side of exploring science concepts. Events are team focused and follow the Alberta school curriculum. Students cover content areas of scientific studies, while learning to work and interact within a group. They use their science skills and ideas to develop creative solutions to problems.
