The Hon. Iris Evans, Minister of Employment, Immigration and Industry, marked an APEGGA milestone in the Alberta Legislature, Nov. 29 — the surpassing of the 50,000th member mark. Introduced in the Legislature and there to share in the moment was new professional member Jorj Sayde, P.Eng., a process engineer with SNC Lavalin and an Edmonton resident.
Ms. Evans noted that the new professional engineer was “here today so that we can acknowledge a milestone in the history of Alberta’s largest self-regulating group.”
Afterwards, Mr. Sayde enjoyed a brief meeting with the minister and the leadership of APEGGA. Above are: (from left) APEGGA President John McLeod, P.Eng.; Jorj Sayde, P.Eng.; the Hon. Iris Evans; and Neil Windsor, P.Eng., APEGGA Executive Director & Registrar.
