Emerald Foundation Seeks Nominations

 

Are you aware of an individual, group or business that has set an example for environmental achievement? Someone who has gone above and beyond the expected in the protection of the environment?

If so, the Alberta Emerald Foundation would like you to bring the name forward. The foundation is calling for nominations for the 2009 Emerald Awards.

Categories cover individuals, not-for-profits, the public sector, business, youth and more. Judging criteria for 2009 are environmental protection, commitment, influence and innovation.

Nominations close at 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27. The awards themselves will be presented on Tuesday, June 16, on the Schoctor Stage at the Citadel Theatre in Edmonton.
