Volunteer Opportunity


APEGGA’s Investigations Department is looking for APEGGA engineers, geologists and geophysicists to fill vacancies on its Investigative Committee. There is primarily a need for individuals with structural engineering experience, but all applicants will be considered.

These volunteers will serve a three-year term and are expected to attend committee meetings monthly – approximately 10 times each year. Meetings are normally one-half day each. Meeting locations alternate between APEGGA’s Calgary and Edmonton offices. Occasional travel will be required to attend meetings. Authorized travel expenses will be reimbursed. In addition to meetings, volunteers will be required to commit time to additional duties.

Investigative Committee
Minimum of 10 years of practice experience required. Duties include response to written complaints, investigative allegations of unskilled practice of the professions or unprofessional conduct by members of APEGGA, when a Formal Hearing is required, prosecute the matter before the Discipline Committee of the Association.

Please submit as application in the form of a resumé and cover letter. Also include your field of practice or interest and indicate your applicable experience or expertise. If you have previously served on an APEGGA committee, please indicate this as well.
