the last Branch Chairs' Meeting, the Central Alberta APEGGA Branch conducted
three branch executive meetings / planning sessions.
- To enhance
closer interaction with ASET, the Central Alberta APEGGA Branch extended
an ongoing invitation to Central Alberta ASET Branch to the Executive
Joffre Plant Tour took place on October 19, 2000. Over 45 Central Alberta
Branch Members attended the tour. Feedback was fantastic. Everyone was
so impressed by the new Ethylene III Plant and the Cogen Plant.
- On November
4, 2000, a tour was conducted to the Rimbey Cheese Factory. Over 40
people attended. This event provided an opportunity where family members
can also get involve and enjoy.
- A Teacher-Award
presentation was made in Central Alberta since the last Brach Chairs'
Meeting. The award was presented to Mr. Richard Baron at Will Sinclair
High School in Rocky Mountain House. The principal, teachers and students
of Will Sinclair High School expressed a sincere thanks for the honour
and the contribution.
- In the
October, Mr. Doug Yeremy, P.Eng. also did a school presentation in the
Town of Provost.
