GENERAL BRANCH MEETINGS HELD
We held only one General Branch Meeting on November 28, 2000. Guest speaker was Ken Torrence P. Eng. who talked about his involvement as an engineering consultant on the Automated Laser Eye Treatment (ALET) Project. Turn out was very good with about forty people attending and we made a small profit instead of taking a small loss. Next General Branch Meeting will be the President's Visit on February 27th 2001.

OTHER BRANCH EVENTS HELD
We have not held or done any other events except as noted above.

UPCOMING BRANCH EVENTS
We are planning our annual College First Year Engineering Students/ Prof. Engineers Mixer Night for early March. Exact date is not set yet. This is a good opportunity for us older Engineers to indoctrinate the younger set.
Our Annual General Meeting is scheduled for 28th March, 2001. We will have a guest speaker, the General Manager from the St. Mary's Irrigation District. We will also have a new slate of candidates running for the Executive positions.
Some engineers have been volunteering as judges for the upcoming Regional Science Fair.

BRANCH EXECUTIVE MEETINGS HELD
Our last Branch Executive meeting was held on January 10th, 2001. We discussed our Branch Exec structure and the proposal for change by the present Branch Chair. Purpose was to have a structure more in line with the new responsibilities and tasks that have been handed down from APEGGA Edmonton Office. There was opposition to the proposal and therefore no change was made. It now will be up to the incoming president to cope with the multitude of tasks.
We also discussed the proposed President's Honorarium and made suggestions.

Our next Branch Executive meeting is scheduled for February 15, 2001.
