Since the last APEGGA Council Meeting, the following activities have taken place in the Vermilion River Branch:

Executive Meetings:

A branch executive meeting was held on August 30, 2000 in Lloydminster. Items discussed included: Teacher Award presentation; upcoming Student Award presentations; branch calendar, budget and business plan; annual golf tournament; and program for 2000/2001.

Student Outreach:

Continuing to finalize arrangements for 1999/2000 Teacher Award dinner.


Events Held:

No events have been held since last report.

Other:

Branch business plan and budget was submitted to head office (Thank-you to Fort McMurray Branch for business plan layout).

Future:

Send out branch newsletter before next Branch Executive Meeting.

The next executive meeting has been tentatively set for October 11.

The first fall technical presentation by Bob Gardshour (or designate) of Syncrude will be held sometime between October 20 and November 10.
