Terms of Reference

Purpose:

To develop a recommended direction for the Association as both a regulator and advocate for the professions.

Objectives:
· Ensure protection of the public
· Enhance the value of membership
· Promote the profession within APEGGA mandate
· Identify advocacy distinction from self-promotion
· Establish 5-year advocacy/communication plan.Possible Action Steps:
1. Monitor regulatory/advocacy activities in other jurisdictions.

2. Evaluate member understanding of APEGGA role in regulation on behalf of the public and advocacy on behalf of the professions and the public.

3. Identify advocacy areas within Strategic Directions and its distinction from member services

4. Survey membership and public to lead towards an expanded communications program on value of APEGGA to members and public.
