Mission

To enhance and provide leadership and support in the education and development of engineers, geologists and geophysicists, and those who wish to enter the professions.

There are currently four funding programs:

  • Outreach - dispersed by UofA and UofC
  • Scholarships and Bursaries - dispersed by Foundation and Universities
  • High Academic Achievement - dispersed by Foundation and Universities
  • History Projects - dispersed by Foundation

As funds are available, the Foundation will look to enhancing these programs and will consider other opportunities. Examples include other outreach organizations, university chairs, labs, field trips, libraries, distance education and continuing education.

Membership

Membership in the Foundation is open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older, are a resident of Alberta, and have been approved by both APEGGA Council and members of the Foundation. There are no limitations on the number of members in the Foundation. These members provide the impetus and support for the directions proposed by the Board.
