Applications Engineer. The successful candidate will have

The candidate must also be able to focus on priority tasks,
acquire new knowledge quickly, be creative and have good
communication skills. Knowledge of device networking protocols,
such as Ethernet, DeviceNet, and Modbus, would be an asset.
The Product Applications Engineer executes the company's
product sales strategy with defined objectives for sales,
volume, product mix and new accounts. The successful candidate
will be responsible for effective sales effort, including
developing new customer accounts, advising customers on
product adaptations and introducing new products to customers.
The individual works to increase sales at existing accounts
The Product Applications Engineer works with the Vice President
of Business Development to conduct market analysis, including
industry and competitive trends, manage existing products,
develop new product definitions and launch products to the
market. The candidate will also assist the Director of Marketing
in developing merchandising materials and plans, including
advertising, press releases, data sheets, application notes,
and internet and direct mail.
BSc. in an engineering discipline or B.Comm. or a combination
of appropriate education and experience is required. The
position requires 3 to 5 years prior selling experience
in the industrial marketplace.
