Claudia Verburgh (Calgary)
Claudia has a CMC and CHRP certificate and is a Senior Partner with Connolly Verburgh Consulting Group Ltd. Claudia was previously a Senior Manager with KPMG, managing the Career Consulting and Human Resources Management practices. During her 20-year career, Claudia has worked with a wide variety of organizations, assisting them with organization effectiveness.

Claudia has a passion for helping organizations to appreciate and maximize the value of their most previous resource – their people. She is active in the local Human Resources community, currently as Past President of the Human Resources Management Association of Edmonton. She is also the HRMAE Representative and Secretary for the Human Resources Institute of Alberta and a member of the Quality Council of Alberta and the Canadian Association of Management Consultants.

Patti Connolly (Edmonton)
Patti has a B.A. and PD/AD from the U of A and is a Senior Partner with Connolly Verburgh Consulting Group Ltd. Her firm specializes in helping organizations maximize their peoples’ skills through audits of the team’s processes and systems. Patti has extensive experience with large-scale HRM initiatives related to recruitment/selection, performance management, teamwork and career planning. She also has a special interest in related curriculum development.

Patti was previously a Senior Consultant with Telus, KMPG and the Career Manager for an international IT Consulting Firm. She has taught Human Resource Management for Metro College and currently teaches in the Career Development Diploma program for Concordia University College.

1. Understand the criteria for registration as a professional member with APEGGA
2. Understand the registration process and documentation required
3. Understand the policies of the APEGGA Board of Examiners in evaluating applications for registration with emphasis on the experience qualifications.

Mark Tokarik
Mark has a B.Sc. (Eng) in Civil Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan in 1981 followed by LL.B from the University of Saskatchewan in 1989. His major areas of expertise are in structural engineering and law. This experience was acquired while working for Cambrian Engineering doing industrial engineering primarily in the uranium and potash industries and with the Merchant Law Group.
