Location: Beairsto Lehners Ketchum Engineering Ltd., #101, 10940 - 92 Avenue, Grande Prairie

The APEGGA Peace Region Branch is looking for volunteers to assist with the Peace Country Science Olympics which will take place in April of 2010. Peace Country Science Olympics is a half-day interactive, FUN, science competition for students in Grades 7-12. The event is sponsored by APEGGA. Students see first-hand how science affects our everyday lives. They are given a series of applications or problem-solving challenges that demonstrate the fun side of exploring science concepts. Events are team focused and follow the Alberta school curriculum. Students cover content areas of scientific studies, while learning to work and interact within a group. They use their science skills and ideas to develop creative solutions to problems.
