The global shift to a lower-carbon world provides Alberta with an opportunity for economic diversification. This does not mean turning our backs on our carbon resources, but riding the wave of the green economy and ensuring that we benefit from this wave. Our success will depend very much on the diversification model that we pursue; the further the model takes us from our core energy strengths, the riskier it becomes.
