Practice Review Board Begins Outsourced Engineering Inquiry

 

The Practice Review Board is conducting an inquiry into concerns, whether real or perceived, regarding the control, supervision and quality of engineering, primarily in major projects in Alberta. The concerns relate, for the most part, to engineers registered with APEGGA relying on, and taking responsibility for, engineering work that is not done under their direct supervision or control.

The purpose of the inquiry is to gain an understanding of the issue and to gather and make a preliminary evaluation of available information. The inquiry itself is not intended to reach any final conclusions about any individual member's or permit holder's practice.

In order to gather information, the Practice Review Board has prepared the accompanying questionnaire. Responses will be kept in the strictest confidence and all information received will be used and retained exclusively for the purposes of the inquiry. The questionnaire can be found on online here or please mail or fax your completed questionnaire found in the hard copy of The PEGG as soon as possible to:
