This award is designed to recognize engineering and geoscience organizations that reflect the vision of a workplace that encourages diversity and supports women in the engineering and geoscience professions.
Awarded to an APEGA member or member(s) as an individual, company, organization or group who through their engineering or geoscience practice and career achievements, have demonstrated noteworthy and inspirational support for women practicing in the EGG professions.
Nominees for this award should have made substantial contributions to the attraction, development and accomplishment of women in an engineering or geoscience field, have a high level of competence in their field and be a registered member of APEGA.
EVALUATION CONSIDERATIONS
1. Extent of activity this individual or group has led (50 points)
a. Real examples of advocacy undertaken on behalf of women engineers and/or geoscientists.
b. Extent of efforts, level of influence and degree of success.
c. Focused or special energy directed towards support of diversity.
d. Passion, focus, and inspiration.
2. Service to the profession (30 points)
a. Public education and understanding the role of engineering and geoscience and the role of professional engineers and geo-scientists in Alberta society.
b. Active participation in engineering or geoscience associations, societies, institutes etc.
3. Service to the community (10 points)
a. Active participation in or support of other voluntary organizations, community organizations and other paid or unpaid work beyond the profession.
4. Stature and recognition as a role model or respected corporate citizen (10 points)
a. Profile and visibility with the engineering or geoscience profession business or industry, the education sector, nationally/internationally, and recognition as an advocate or role model for those entering, or in the practice of engineering or geoscience.

The theme is recognition of contribution to the development of others and enhancement of the profession through encouraging diversity.
REQUIREMENTS
Complete the nomination form in full and attach documents describing the nominee and his/her achievements which, in the opinion of the nominator, qualify the nominee for the award, together with such supporting evidence as the nominator may wish the Honours and Awards Committee to consider.
