Emerald Foundation Seeks Nominations
Are you aware of an individual, group or business that has set an example for environmental achievement? Someone who has gone above and beyond what’s expected in the protection of the environment?
If so, the Alberta Emerald Foundation would like you to bring the name forward. The foundation is calling for nominations for the 2009 Emerald Awards.
Categories cover individuals, not-for-profits, the public sector, businesses, youths and more. Judging criteria for 2009 are environmental protection, commitment, influence and innovation.
Nominations close at 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26. The awards themselves will be presented on Thursday, June 10, at the Martha Cohen Theatre in Calgary.
