April Photo Contest

First PlaceReflection at Tokyo National Forum
By Shane Harvey, P.Eng., Calgary

The Specs
Nikon Coolpix L5, focal length 6.3 mm, exposure time 1/50 (approx.), f-stop 2.9, ISO 79.

The Story
The photo of the Tokyo National Forum was taken inside on the top floor overlooking the cavernous space inside the building, the structure of the buildings roof is akin to a whale's skeleton and there is a long spiral walk way around the out side perimeter with glass walk ways over the giant open space. The reflection is on the glass ledge on the railing overlooking this space. While taking pictures on and over the ledge I kept having a fear of dropping my camera, me yelling 'look out' to the people way below who don't speak English and having a camera hit them in the face when the look to see who's yelling.
