Dean Faculty of Engineering
University of Calgary
The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Calgary offers one of the most modern, balanced and progressive programs of undergraduate and postgraduate engineering education worldwide, including offering the only BSc. in Software Engineering in Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. Dr. Wirasinghe will speak about the faculty's key activities and the future of the engineering faculty.
Dr. Chan Wirsinghe has been the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Calgary since 1994. Some of the key activities initiated under his leadership include the $35M Calgary Center for Innovative Technology, four new undergraduate programs and the highly acclaimed women in engineering program, to name a few.
