The torch is passed to APEGGA's 83rd president, Ron Tenove, P.Eng., during the Annual General Meeting in Edmonton April 27 (below left). Left of the new president, a 54-year-old, Edmonton-born consulting engineering manager, is Past President Dale Miller, P.Eng., and right is Executive Director and Registrar Neil Windsor, P.Eng., as they conduct the official Oath of Office ceremony. Mr. Tenove received his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the University of Alberta in 1970, followed by his master of engineering degree in soft and rock mechanics in 1971. He is the director, corporate development, at the Focus Corporation in Edmonton. Mr. Tenove and his wife, Pat, a physiotherapist, have two sons - Chris, a freelance journalist living in Vancouver, and Colin, a doctor of traditional Chinese medicine living in Calgary. In another ceremony, known as the vesting, Mr. Miller and Sue Evison, P.Eng., the 81st president, do up the button (right).
