raymond mckay, mba, p.eng.



Mr. McKay holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Nova Scotia and an MBA from Queen’s University. He has twenty years experience in the power industry, ranging from operation of thermal facilities to development of thermal and renewable generation. 

The first eleven years of his career were dedicated to the operation of thermal generating facilities with Emera Inc followed by five years in EPCOR’s independent power group.  Mr. McKay joined ENMAX in 2004 as Director of Project Development and more recently acts in the role of Vice President Business Development, Alberta.  

Mr. McKay has led his team through the development of the 80 MW Taber Wind Power Project.  With Mr. McKay’s leadership, ENMAX and its partners were recently awarded four electricity purchase agreements for projects that they submitted in the BC Hydro 2006 Call For Power.
