IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS!

Paper (hard copy) application forms for licensure by APEGA will not be accepted after August 31st, 2011. As of September 1, 2011 all applications will have to be submitted electronically using our Online Application System. 

NOTICE OF CHANGE TO THE APEGA WEBSITE

Please note that due to the recent name change from APEGGA to APEGA which was approved by the Government of Alberta on March 15th, 2012, the website is currently undergoing additional revisions to accommodate the change in name. This work is being done as quickly as possible, so we appreciate your patience. We will advise in the near future when these changes have been completed.

INTERNATIONALLY EDUCATED GRADUATES
If you are an internationally educated graduate in engineering and/or geoscience you can find information on getting licenced in Alberta.

PROFESSIONAL LICENSEE
APEGA licenses qualified engineering and geoscience technologists as Professional Licensee (Engineering) or Professional Licensee (Geoscience) to independently practice engineering and/or geoscience in Alberta within defined scopes of practice.

Professional TechnologistPROFESSIONAL TECHNOLOGIST
Information on the Professional Technologist designation that is jointly regulated by APEGA and ASET.

PERMITS TO PRACTICE (CORPORATE)
It is recognized in the Act and Regulations that effective control of the quality of professional practice in partnerships, corporations and other such entities requires that the employer of professionals provide proper practice of the professions.

EXAMINATIONS
Professional Practice Exam, NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) and Technical Examination information. Here you will find application forms, dates and deadlines as well as other valuable information.
