dr. larry ohlhauser
Dr.
Larry Ohlhauser is known to executives and CEOs worldwide both for his seminar
and forthcoming book, The Healthy CEO. Dr. Ohlhauser has influenced
the transformation of lifestyles by empowering individuals to take responsibility
for their own health.
After running a successful medical practice in Alberta, he worked with
the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta for 20 years—the last
12 years as Registrar and CEO. Today, Dr. Ohlhauser is President and CEO of Ohlhauser & Associates,
a consulting firm specializing in healthcare strategy and management consulting
for large multinationals, corporations and government institutions.
He recently received the Alberta Centennial Medal for outstanding service
to the people of Alberta. Another recent award granted Dr. Ohlhauser was the
Dr. Louis Levasseur Distinguished Service Award from the Medical Council of Canada
for outstanding contributions toward the Council's vision and mission. Dr. Ohlhauser
was also recently named "one
of the Top 100 Physicians of the Century" by the College
of Physicians and Surgeons and the Alberta Medical Association.
Dr. Ohlhauser is a director on the boards of several biotechnology companies
and of The Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists
(APEGGA). He is also a Lay Bencher for the Law Society of Alberta. He has
just completed two terms as a board member for Canada Health Infoway, a $1.1-billion
organization established to accelerate development of a Pan-Canadian Electronic
Health Record.
