NOTICE OF SUSPENSION

 

A hearing panel of the Discipline Committee of The Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta has found Mr. Terry D. Mulvey, of the City of Lloydminster, Alberta, guilty of unprofessional conduct for causing financial and emotional stress to his clients, for interfering with the completion of projects and the proprietary rights of some of these clients, for swearing of false Affidavits and for treating an employee in an inappropriate manner.

Pursuant to section 63 of the Engineering, Geological and Geophysical Professions Act, the Discipline Committee suspended the member's registration as a professional engineer for eight months commencing February 1, 2005.

The member must pay costs of $24,293.23 and a fine of $5,000.00 and must comply with all the requirements of the Discipline Committee panel's orders before the suspension is removed.

The panel directed that the member be reprimanded and be restricted from filing Builders' Liens without doing so through legal counsel for a period of ten years.
