We have a number of great events coming up in February.  How about sharing your experiences and enthusiasm for science and your profession with your fellow APEGGA Members by attending one or more of these events?

2007 APEGGA Peace Country Science Olympics

Saturday, February 10
Crystal Park School (116 Ave and 93 St), Grande Prairie

The Science Olympics gives junior and senior high school teams from around the Peace Country, a chance to go for the gold in a number of hands-on, science-based events.

We need 20-30 volunteers to assist with:

• Set up
• Judging
• Scorekeepers
• Team helpers

Spouses are welcome to help out as well.  Families can also join as spectators.

We need volunteers from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or portions thereof.

GPRC Education Fair

Monday, February 12
Grande Prairie Regional College, Grande Prairie

The career fair is a chance for high school and college students, parents, and "career changers" to gather information about careers and career opportunities from organizations like APEGGA, employers and industry representatives.

Share information about your education and career experiences in engineering or geoscience.  Help make the way clearer for those looking at Engineering, Geology and Geophysics as a career path.

We are looking for volunteers to provide one to two hours of time at the APEGGA booth between noon and 9:00 p.m.

President's Visit

Trumpeter Inn, Grande Prairie

Join us for fine dining and discussion with APEGGA President David Chalcroft, P.Eng. and other members of the APEGGA Executive.  The evening will also include the induction of many new Peace River Branch Professional Members.
