Peace River Branch APEGGA members:
Have you heard?
On Saturday, February 25, our
branch is hosting the 2006 Peace River APEGGA
Science Olympics
We are still looking for a few good Judges
and Judge Helpers for the big day. If you like science and fun, why not
volunteer for this event? Besides going towards your CPD, it's as much
fun for the volunteers as it is for the students participating. And you
might get some free stuff, too :)
This annual event is made up of science-based
challenges, where Peace Area junior and senior high schools compete against one
another. It
will be held in Grande Prairie in the GP Composite High School.
Interested in being a Judge?
Commitment would be to:

Attend
a one-hour meeting on February 16, 6:30 PM in Grande Prairie

Attend
event day from about 11:00 AM-4:30 PM in Grande Prairie
Judge duties are to:
-
Be
familiar with an event (provided by APEGGA )
-
Communicate
space and materials needed for event

Ensure
smooth operation of event
Interested in being a Judge Helper?
Commitment would be to:
- Attend
event day from about 11:00 AM-4:30 PM in Grande Prairie
Judge Helper duties are to:
- Assist
with setup and take down of events
- Help
provide instruction and clarification to teams
- Record
team scores
It will be great to have you help out. If you're
