Recipients Selected by APEGGA Honours & Awards Committee
The APEGGA Education Foundation offers
two scholarships annually to professional members of APEGGA undertaking a graduate
program in engineering, geology or geophysics at the University of Alberta and
University of Calgary. The scholarships, valued at $2,000 each, are awarded on
the basis of the relevance of the thesis to the applicants work experience and
career aspirations and on the benefits that will accrue to the Alberta economy
as a result of the research. Applicants shall have been accepted into the first
year of a full time graduate program. Should there be no applicants entering
first year, consideration will be given to candidates entering second year.
The scholarships are known as the APEGGA R.M. Hardy Graduate Scholarships in
honour of Dr. Hardy, P.Eng., a renowned engineer and educator, who was Dean of
the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alberta.
To Apply
1. Arrange for a letter of reference as per the form.
2. Obtain a transcript of the results of your most recent year of formal education.
If we do not receive your official transcript with your application, the application
will not be considered.
3. Submit by July 15 the completed signed form, along with the letter of reference
and your official transcript, to APEGGA - Attention: Graduate Scholarship.
