What specifically does the APEGGA website have to offer? Following is a brief description of the Association business you can conduct and the information you can find on-line at www.apegga.org, along with a few navigational hints.

Use the Member Self Service Centre......click here

Here you can renew your membership, update name and address, and update education, employment and professional development program report. There's a link on the APEGGA Home Page, the first page on the site. To log into the centre requires that you type in your entire member number (including the M), as well as the access code from your invoice or professional development forms.

These searchable areas are linked under Members/Membership Register and are updated weekly. These are highly "hit" areas - a lot of site visitors go there often.

The areas are being upgraded for better and quicker results, and to allow an unlimited number of users in at the same time.

APEGGA's searchable membership register is provided as a service to Association members and the public. This easy-to-use database is intended to help identify the professional status of APEGGA members, as well as to provide other information that may be of use to individuals looking for the services of professional engineers and geoscientists.

APEGGA Calendar. Includes APEGGA events of general interest to members including Council meetings, information forums, luncheon meetings, receptions, courses, examinations, Outreach and APEGGA-sponsored Continuing Professional Development activities.

Technical Society Calendar. Includes an online event submission form. This is a listing of events sponsored by technical societies affiliated with APEGGA. Listed are luncheon and dinner meetings sponsored by Alberta-based branches and sections of technical societies, as well as major provincial, national and international events.

Volunteers provide valued service by working on APEGGA boards, committees, task forces and branch executives. They are the lifeblood of your association.

APEGGA volunteers fulfill other special roles, too. For example, they serve as mentors, they act as presenters in school classrooms and career fairs, and they help organize special events during National Engineering Week, and other events. Find out more in the Members area.

This section is linked from Education & Career on the main page. Volunteers in APEGGA's Outreach Program participate in classroom presentations, career presentations, booth events, science fair judging, and job shadow/career interview requests. The goal is to promote an interest in the sciences and science-based careers, and to raise public awareness of the engineering, geology and geophysics professions.
