
If you are an existing APEGGA P.Eng., E.I.T., or University Student (ASAP) Member and wish to be licensed as a Professional Engineer in the United States, the first step is to complete the Fundamentals of Engineering Examination. Fortunately, you do not have to cross the border to write the FE Exam, you can write it here in Alberta.
If you are an APEGGA Engineering examination candidate who has been assigned the FE examination for confirmatory purposes you will need to register to write the FE examination.
If you are an APEGGA Engineering examination candidate who has been assigned confirmatory examinations, you have the option of writing the FE examination in lieu of the assigned confirmatory examinations.
The FE Examination is an eight-hour comprehensive technical examination administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). For detailed information about the FE Exam please refer to the NCEES website at www.ncees.org.
