good character and reputation

You must be of good character and reputation. Good character connotes moral and ethical strength and includes integrity, candor, honesty and trustworthiness. Character is what a person is, while reputation is what others believe that person to be. All APEGGA members are held accountable to the Code of Ethics that governs the way an individual practices his or her profession. Once you become licensed as a Professional Member or Foreign Licensee with APEGGA, you are expected and required to act in a skillful and ethical manner. If you do not practice skillfully and ethically, you may be subject to APEGGA’s disciplinary process.

You will be asked to answer questions regarding your character on the Application for Registration form. For further information please refer to Engineers – General Registration or Geoscientists – General Registration.
