SCIENCE OLYMPICS

Science Olympics is an interactive science competition and an interschool event. Students are given a series of applications or problem-solving challenges that demonstrate the fun side of exploring science concepts targeted for Grades 1 through 12. They cover many content areas of scientific study, while learning to work and interact within a group. Students are asked to use their science skills and ideas to develop creative solutions to problems given as a competitive challenge. Events are team focused and follow the Alberta school curriculum.

APEGGA sponsors and hosts Science Olympics as an activity to celebrate National Engineering & Geoscience Week.  By bringing attention to its professions through a variety of programs and activities, the Association encourages and nurtures an interest in engineering, science, math and technology in students and the general public.
