The Environment Committee's role (Terms of Reference) is to enhance APEGGA's awareness of environmental issues that impact the practice of the professions and to provide input on related matters. The Committee’s Guideline for Environmental Practice outlines APEGGA’s expectations of its members regarding their being proactive in protecting the environment.
The Committee continues to coordinate a series of articles on the subject of climate change. These appear in The PEG and on APEGGA’s website. It is also embarking on the development of a Climate Change Adaptation Program geared toward engineers’ and geoscientists’ involvement with how climate change may affect the design of facilities and infrastructure.
