DAVE EVANS, B.SC., PH.D., D.I.C., P.GEOL.

Dave Evans received his B.Sc. in geology and chemistry from the University of British Columbia in 1966 and his Ph.D. in applied geochemistry from the Royal School of Mines, University of London in 1971. He has over 35 years experience in resource exploration, development and production. He is currently senior partner with CSC Project Management Services in Calgary, a risk management consulting practice that specializes in mining, oil sands, heavy oil, pipeline, power, transportation and major industrial sectors.

Dave has extensive experience in risk analysis and risk management applications in resource development for economic and financial qualification and evaluation. This includes political, environmental and social risk assessments, value engineering, root cause analysis and a variety of modern business development and enhancement processes. He is a registered mediator in Alberta Arbitration and Mediation Society and facilitates conflict and dispute resolution for environmental, resource and project management engagements.

Dave currently sits on the Discipline Committee for the Alberta Association of Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists and provides pro bono risk management consulting services for non-profit agencies on behalf of Centre Point, the former Calgary Centre for Non-Profit Management.
