RICHARD NELSON

Richard is a graduate of the University of Alberta, with a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology and a Master’s degree in Environmental Science (Civil Engineering), but having been in the working world now for 25 years, he can safely say that it is dangerous to “pigeon hole” someone based on their degrees. Having said that, however, Richard has worked with engineers for the majority of his career and was previously a member and vice president of the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists.

Richard has been employed for the last 16 years with the Government of Alberta in the field of Energy Research Management. His experience with the GOA includes both the Alberta Oilsands Technology Research Authority and now the Alberta Energy Research Institute.
